Put an open map widget in your XUL application !

MozMapLayers is based on OpenLayers . OpenLayers is a Free Open Source JavaScript Library initialy developed by MetaCarta . OpenLayers is designed to put dynamic map in any Web page. MozMapLayers is an OpenLayers' adaptation to the XUL Environment. With the same JavaScript code you can put dynamic map in any XUL application window.

MozMapLayers is an add-on to :

• Mozilla Firefox 2 ;
• Mozilla Thunderbird 2 ;
• Mozilla Toolkit.

Because MozMapLayers is an add-on to Mozilla Toolkit, all the application based on the futur XulRunner 1.9 could use it without changing anything.

MozMapLayers supports a new layer type : mozStorage.

Such a layer is read from a local SQLite database. The geometry must be registered in Well Known Text (WKT) Format.

To use this layer type, you have to specify the SQLite database file URL, the geometry column name (geom_column), the fid column name (fid_column) and a table name (table) or a SQL request (query).
